My Story

Growing up on the west side of Glasgow I left school at 16 and all I wanted was to start working, build my own life, and eventually travel. Oh, and… buy my first motorbike. (I did exactly that, first with a Honda NSR 125, then a Fazer 600, and finally a Yamaha R6).

After working in administration for a number of years I left Glasgow to work in London for nine years as a marketing manager for several architectural companies.  I’ve now traded city life for the more rural location of mid-Fife, where I live happily with my partner.

I built my career the practical way: through hands-on experience, determination, and learning on the job. I worked during the day, whilst studying at night, to earn my business administration qualification in 2000, followed by my marketing qualification in 2008 (and a full refresh in 2024). Throughout this time, I’ve worked in architectural studios, the construction industry, and most recently the financial sector.  As a result, I have gained a strong foundation in business support, office administration, marketing planning, and event coordination.

I’ve partnered with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, helping them bring clarity to their plans, stay on top of complex workloads, and deliver communications that genuinely connect. I’ve led marketing strategies, coordinated high-profile events, supported bids, managed financial admin tasks, streamlined processes and built strong trusted relationships.  

Currently, based in Levenmouth, with more than two decades of experience across a range of professional services, I’m known for being organised, approachable, and the kind of person who naturally steps in to make life easier. 

Outwith work I’m happiest when I’m out on long walks with my partner on Fife’s beautiful beaches or the Lomond hills, paddle boarding at Lochore Meadows Country Park or hitting the gym in Glenrothes.
